文明形态是文明的类型划分,也是文明发展程度的重要标志。对于文明新形态的追求,贯穿党的百年历史进程。五四时期,中国知识界就开始探讨中华文明的出路;中国共产党成立后,将新文明的创造作为中国共产党的使命和中国革命、建设、改革的目标。新民主主义的经济、政治、文化的有机结合,实际上就是要创造新的文明形态。新中国成立以后,无论社会主义改造还是社会主义建设,实际上都是创造人类文明新形态实践的展开。改革开放以后,中国特色社会主义建设的重要目标,就是创造既有别于传统社会主义,又有别于西方资本主义的人类文明新形态,以引领人类文明未来发展。

The form of civilization is the classification of civilizations,and it is also an important symbol of the development of civilization.The pursuit of a new form of civilization runs through the Party’s century-long history.After the establishment of the Communist Party of China,the creation of a new civilization has been regarded as the mission of the Party and the goal of China’s revolution,construction and reformation. The organic combination of economy, politics and culture of new democracy is actually to create a new form of civilization. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, both socialist transformation and socialist construction are in fact the practice of creating a new form of human civilization. After the reform and opening up , the important goal of building socialism with Chinese characteristics is to create a new form of human civilization which is different from both traditional socialism and Western capitalism, so as to lead the future development of human civilization.
