交叉性理论是第三波女性主义发展的重要理论成果,对当代西方左派激进理论和实践产生了重要影响,甚至被引入许多相关学科领域。它关注的是当代资本主义条件下女性所遭受的阶级、种族、性别、性和年龄等多重和共时的压迫问题。然而,交叉性理论中包含的一些倾向引起了当代西方马克思主义女性主义者的重视,她们希望通过批判、利用和改造交叉性理论,用马克思主义引领西方女性主义左派激进理论和实践,进一步加强对交叉性理论的反思。

Intersectionality is one of the most important theoretical achievements of the third wave feminism and has exerted significant influences on contemporary radical theory of the western left.In addition, it has been introduced in research in other related disciplines as it focuses on the manifold and simultaneous oppressions of women in contemporary capitalism based on class, race, ethnicity, gender, sex, nationality, age and so on.However, some dangerous theoretical tendencies of intersectionality have not escaped from the attention of some Marxist feminists.They attempted to adopt through critiand transform intersectionality, to make Marxism be the guidance of theories and practices of western Marxist Feminism.Be clear about and critical of the history and background of intersectionality may also be helpful to Chinese scholars so as not to be misguided by it.
