斯特鲁加茨基兄弟笔下的奇幻世界是对科学理性统治下的世界的反动小说指出科学理性是人类出于生存需要制订出的简洁明了的世界观,但是其背后必然有更为广阔的未知领域。作为工具理性的科学技术是改造世界的利器,可是如果科学技术凌驾于人的尊严之上,必然引发灾难性后果、小说中一系列“魔地”形象有其原型,作者用魔幻怪诞的手法对某些科学家以及教条主义式的科技伦理观进行了反思与讽刺。

The fantasy world described by the Strugatsky brothers is a rebellion against the world dominated by scientific rationality.The novels point out that scientific rationality is a concise and clear world outlook formulated by human beings only for needs of survival,but underlyingly there can be a broader but unknown sphere.Representing instrumental rationality,science is a sharp tool to change the world;but once it overarches human dignity,disastrous consequences will inevitably come about.A series of"magic land"images in the novels have their archetypes.The author reflects and satirizes some scientists and dogmatic ethics of science and technology with magical and grotesques literary techniques.
