The Influence of the Books for Moral Indoctrination Written in the Early Ming Dynasty in the Goryeo Dynasty

儒家伦理在东亚社会的传播过程中,教化性敕撰书的颁布和流传起着重要推动作用。明初编纂了多种类、面向社会各阶层的教化性敕撰书,如《皇明祖训》《孝顺事实》《为善阴骘》《五伦书》《历代臣鉴》等。这类书籍东传至朝鲜半岛,不仅影响着朝鲜王朝人士对儒家伦理观念的接受,还产生出《三纲行实图》《二伦行实图》《海东臣鉴》等衍生性著作。明初教化性敕撰书在东亚汉文化圈的传播情形,实际呈现了儒家伦理纲常思想在周边诸国的下行与实践过程。

In the early Ming Dynasty, the emperor promulgated and disseminated books for moral indoctrination, which have played an important role in the spread of Confucian ethics in East Asia. These books were in various forms as well as facing all sectors of society, including Emperor Mingzu’s Guidance, Filial Piety Record, Altruistic Kindness, the Book of Five Lun andthe Record of Historical Ministers. These books spread to the GoryeoDynasty in the East, which not only affected the acceptance of Confucian ethics by people in the GoryeoDynasty, but also produced derivative works such as Three Cardinal Guides, Two Ethics and The Record of Hai Dong Ministers and so on. The case study focuses on the dissemination of those books in the GoryeoDynastyand reveals the propagation and the practice process of Confucian ethics in theEast Asian society.
