This paper introduces Tao Haiyan’s experience in the treatment of epigastric oppression.Tao Haiyan summarized the experience of the treatment of epigastric oppression according to the residents’ living and eating habits.The clinical effect was remarkable.Tao Haiyan thinks that the disease repeated,and difficult to cure.The main causes of epigastric oppression were epigastric cooling and air-generating.The total pathogenesis is that the spleen and stomach qi of the middle energizer is not smooth,and the ascending and descending are dereliction of duty.Although the epigastric oppression is in the stomach,it is also closely related to the liver and spleen.Clinical can be divided into three types:liver-qi invading the stomach type,spleen-stomach deficiency cold type and dampness-heat obstructing the stomach type.Acute phase disease is soothing liver and strengthening spleen.The chronic period needs to distinguish the cold and heat.Cold syndrome is warming the spleen and soothing the liver,while dampness-heat syndrome is clearing away heat and dampness,harmonizing the stomach and eliminating epigastric oppression.
