网络游戏小说的粉丝文化在新的社会语境与官方的推动下生成。围绕《全职高手》,粉丝在虚拟社区聚集,用标签进行身份区隔,在语言与行为两方面建构出粉丝文化。作为一部男频小说,《全职高手》俘获了大量女性粉丝。《全职高手》透露出的文化意识满足了女性粉丝的某些需求,值得注意的是,网络游戏小说中隐藏着女性对男性的仰视,而部分女性粉丝对此并无察觉。
