国之公戈考

An Explanation of Guo Zhi Gong Ge(國之公戈)

国之公戈是出土于山东省沂源县中庄镇南庄村西墓葬的国氏兵器,见于多种著录。其铭文应释为“國之雲卒”,而非旧释之“國之公戈”。其文字具有齐系文字特点,辞例具有燕系铭文格式特点,应是战国晚期乐毅破齐之后所铸。

Guo zhi gong ge(國之公戈),found in many indigenous records,is a national weapon unearthed from the western tomb of Nanzhuang Village,Zhongzhuang Town,Yiyuan County,Shandong Province.Its inscription should be interpreted as guo zhi yun zu(國之雲卒)rather than as guo zhi gong ge(國之公戈)with characters similar to those of Qi system.The inscriptions have the same features in its format as the Yan inscriptions,which should be cast after Yue Yi(乐毅)defeated Qi in the late Warring States period.
