A Study on Zhang Baihua’s Translation Thoughts

当代文学翻译学者张白桦译著量大质优,覆盖面广泛,独译量大,然而译界对其论述不够全面,未曾就其翻译思想进行全面探究。这里首先厘清翻译思想的内涵,廓清翻译思想的范围;扼要说明张白桦译著的社会影响力,作为论文的研究缘起;然后概述张白桦及其译事活动;最后从翻译选材、翻译策略、翻译方法、翻译风格四个维度来挖掘张白桦翻译思想。这里首次尝试对张白桦的翻译思想系统概括,旨在为当代翻译家研究提供个案参考。

The contemporary literary translator Zhang Baihua is celebrated for the independent English-Chinese translation works with high quality and wide coverage,whereas her translation thoughts are not elaborated in the translation circle with massive articles.The paper first clarifies the connotation of translation thoughts,outlines the research scope and briefly introduces the influence of Zhang Ba-ihua’s translation works,which acts as the research basis of the thesis;then summarizes Zhang Baihua’s translation achievements,and finally expounds her translation thoughts from translation materials,translation strategies,translation skills and translation styles.The paper firstly systematically endeavors to illustrate Zhang Baihua’s translation thoughts,which aims to provide certain reference for the case study of the contemporary translators.
