The newly published "Mingzhitang Collection of Inscriptions of Song Dynasty--Land Purchase Certificate" contains 204 land purchase certificates of Jiangxi province in Song Dynasty. In order to make the academic circle have a clearer understanding of it, this paper systematically sorts out the space-time distribution and regional ownership of these land purchase certificates. Based on the investigation of the land transaction mode in the certificates, they can be divided into three types: land purchase for the dead, land purchase by relatives and land purchase without purchasing subject. At the same time, from the perspective of social culture, it is found that it has become a social custom for people in Song Dynasty to replace their names with Hangdi. Taking this as an example, this paper explores the Hangdi culture in Song Dynasty, and deeply explores the historical value of these land purchase certificates.
