The application of alkali desulfurization process in the flue gas of 80 kt/a sulphur recovery unit of SINOPEC Hainan Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd. is introduced. The process flow, technical principle and technical characteristics of alkali desulfurization unit are expounded, and its role in realizing the standard discharge of tail gas of sulphur recovery unit is analyzed. The problems existing in the operation of alkali desulfurization system are summarized, and the improvement measures are put forward.
