The Associations between Depression and Internet Addiction in University Students During COVID-19 Pandemic Period: A Cross-lagged Analysis

摘要 目的:考察疫情期大学生抑郁与网络成瘾的变化以及两者的动态和双向关系。方法:以抑郁量表和网络成瘾量表为工具,对481名在校大学生进行3次测量(时间间隔为1个月)。结果:①疫情期大学生抑郁与网络成瘾水平有增长趋势。②抑郁与网络成瘾显著正相关。③T1抑郁能显著预测T2网络成瘾,T1网络成瘾能显著预测T2抑郁,T2抑郁能显著预测T3网络成瘾。④大学生抑郁与网络成瘾的关系不存在性别差异。结论:疫情期大学生抑郁与网络成瘾相互影响,且关系动态发展。 Objective: To investigate the dynamic and bidirectional associations between depression and Internet addiction of college students during COVID-19 pandemic period. Methods: Using Chinese version of Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale and Revised Chen Internet Addiction Scale as tools, 481university students were surveyed three times, which were separated by near one month. Results:①The level of depression and Internet addiction among university students tended to increase during COVID-19 pandemic period.②The depression and Internet addiction were positively associated with each other.③T1 depression could positively predict T2 Internet addiction, T1 Internet addiction could positively predict T2 depression, and T2 depression could positively predict T3 Internet addiction.④No differences in the associations between depression and Internet addiction across gender were found. Conclusion: The associations between depression and Internet addiction among university students during COVID-19 pandemic period are interactive and changeable.
