COVID-19 is a new type of highly contagious viral pneumonia.It has been identified as a zoonotic disease,and the pathogen causing the disease is similar to SARS coronavirus and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus.It is highly contagious among populations,named 2019-nCoV,and poses a huge threat to global public health.With the outbreak of the 2019-nCoV epidemic,the clinical characteristics,pregnancy outcomes,and the potential risks of vertical transmission of pregnant women with COVID-19 infection have become important issues for obstetricians to consider.Viral nucleic acid testing combined with imaging tests are rapid standard diagnostic methods for new coronary pneumonia and essential to prevent subsequent secondary transmission.Mastery of 2019-nCoV disease characteristics and epidemiology is beneficial to develop effective prevention and management strategies.Project management for high-risk pregnant women,popularization of epidemic prevention related knowledge,multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of diagnosed patients,and standardized individual treatment are conducive to good maternal and infant outcomes.
