The Origin and Evolution of Poetic Bixing:from The Book of Poetry to Chu Ci

比兴是我国诗歌创作的重要手法,比兴的出现改变了原始歌谣中直言其事、直抒其情的表达方式,比兴萌芽于《周易》中的卦爻辞,其作为一种成熟的艺术手法并得到广泛应用是在《诗经》中,后来的楚辞作品继承并发展了《诗经》中的比兴手法,逐渐演化出一个具有道德意味的象征系统,对后世文人的情感表达起到了典范作用。

Bixing is an important technique in Chinese poetry creation.The emergence of Bixing changed the way of expressing things and feelings directly in the original songs.Bixing turned out to be a mature artistic technique which was widely used in The Book of Poetry.Later works in Chu Ci inherited and developed the Bixing technique in The Book of Poetry and gradually evolved a symbol system with moral significance,which played a model role in the emotional expression of later scholars.
