The Centennial Course and Enlightenment of the CPC’s Development of Democracy Within the Party

党内民主是中国共产党始终不渝的追求。百年来,中国共产党对党内民主进行了艰辛探索与实践,大体经历了探索与起步、发展与挫折、恢复与革新及深化与拓展四个历史阶段。百年党内民主建设取得了宝贵经验:必须以马克思主义民主理论为指导、高度认识实行党内民主的重要性、坚持民主集中制这个最大制度优势、必须正确处理民主和集中的关系、必须保障党员的民主权利、必须以制度建设保障党内民主的实现。同时对进一步发展党内民主具有重要启迪:必须始终与党的初心和使命紧密结合、以党内民主推动人民民主发展、发展党内民主必须增强风险防范意识。

Democracy within the Party is an unswerving pursuit of the CPC.In the past 100 years,the CPC has made arduous exploration and practice of democracy within the Party,which has generally experienced four historical stages:exploration and start,development and setback,restoration and innovation,and deepening and expanding.Valuable experience has been gained in the construction of democracy within the Party in the past century:under the guidance of Marxist democratic theory,we must highly understand the importance of democracy within the Party,adhere to the biggest institutional advantage of democratic centralism,correctly handle the relationship between democracy and centralism,guarantee the democratic rights of party members,and guarantee the realization of democracy within the Party through institutional construction.At the same time,it has important enlightenment to further develop democracy within the Party:we must always be closely combined the Party’s founding mission,promote people’s democracy with democracy within the Party,strengthen the risk prevention consciousness to develop democracy within the Party.
