Project-based Teaching Construction of the Course“Hotel Front Office and Guest Room Management”in Application-oriented Undergraduate Colleges

应用型本科院校酒店管理专业旨在培养满足高星级酒店需求的中、高层管理人才,要求培养过程中以能力为本位,并强化学生的职业素养。因此,在酒店前厅与客房管理课程教学中有必要引入项目教学法,即按照高星级酒店前厅部与客房部各岗位的工作过程和工作任务,对课程内容进行系统的重构。将酒店前厅与客房管理工作设计成若干个相对独立的项目,学生围绕项目任务开展学习,了解和把握一个完整项目各个环节的基本要求和实操技能。这种把课程理论知识融入项目任务中的教学方法,突出了“以学生为中心”的特点,能够极大地调动学生的学习兴趣。

The hotel management major in applied undergraduate colleges aims to cultivate middle and high-level management talents who meet the needs of high-star hotels.Therefore,it is necessary to introduce the project teaching method in the teaching of the hotel front office and guest room management course,that is,to systematically reconstruct the course content according to the work process and work tasks of each post in the front office department and the guest room department of a high-star hotel.The hotel front office and guest room management are designed as several relatively independent projects.Students study around the project tasks and understand and grasp the basic requirements and practical skills of each link of a complete project.This teaching method,which integrates the theoretical knowledge of the course into the project task,highlights the characteristics of“student-centered”and can greatly arouse the students'interest in learning.
