《德伯家的苔丝》是英国著名小说家托马斯·哈代的代表作品,这部小说文笔优美流畅、自然真实,景物描写栩栩如生,人物刻画也感人肺腑,一直深受众多读者喜爱。而在对其进行翻译的时候,不同译者也有不同的语言表达形式。就《德伯家的苔丝》两个译本翻译过程进行对比研究,主要从两个译本对选词的把握、语言风格、人物性格的把握、汉语方言使用、译本风格差异及语言特色展开对比,目的是为了能够对这一作品形成更为良好的认知。

Tess of the D'Urbervilles is a representative work of Thomas Hardy,a famous British novelist.This novel is beautiful and smooth,natural and realistic.The description of scenery is vivid,and its characterization is also touching,which has been loved by many readers.When translating it,different translators also have different forms of language expression.This paper makes the comparative study of the translation process of the two versions of Tess of the D'Urbervilles,mainly from the grasp of the two versions on the choice of words,language style,characters,the use of Chinese dialects,translation style differences and language characteristics,in order to form a better understanding of this work.
