摘要
《希兹威·班西死了》是南非著名戏剧家阿索尔·富加德与演员约翰·卡尼和温斯顿·恩特肖纳共同创作的戏剧,是富加德早期戏剧的代表作。作品在主题上对于种族隔离时期南非人的身份认同问题进行深入探索,进而对种族隔离制度本身进行批判。《希兹威·班西死了》立足于南非政治社会的特殊性,从种族隔离制度与资本主义制度的种种异化现象与矛盾困境出发,探析南非人的生存困境、异化问题、身份困境与道德上的悖论。在两种制度的共同作用下,黑人族群不仅面临着种族主义思想的精神压迫,而且还面临着资本主义经济体系的剥削与欺凌。
Sizwe Bansi is Dead is a drama co-written by Athol Fugard,a famous South African dramatist,with actors John Kani and Winston Ntshona.It is a representative of Fugard’s early drama.In the theme of this work,the identity of South African people in the apartheid period is deeply explored,and then the apartheid system itself is criticized.Sizwe Bansi is Dead is based on the particularity of South Africa’s political society,the alienation phenomena,contradictions of apartheid and capitalist system,analyzes the existential dilemma,alienation problem,identity dilemma and moral paradox of South Africans.Under the simultaneous effects of two systems,black society not only faced the oppression of racism but also the exploitation and abuse of economic system in Capitalism.
