摘要
关于《清明上河图》有一段“伪画致祸”的历史公案,它不仅在明清时代广为人们所津津乐道,亦在现代学术史中为诸多学者所长久关注。以往学者的讨论,无论是力证故事为纯属虚构,还是坚称故事有事实依据,基本都是以论证王世贞家曾否因《清明上河图》贾祸作为切入点。而换一个角度,从严嵩及同时代的许论入手,可知不仅王家不曾因《清明上河图》发生悲剧,整个故事应都是谣传。“伪画致祸”的传言乃是明中晚期的文史语境所促成的。
The story according to which"A Fake Painting Brought About Disaster"is a historical case related to the masterpiece Along the River During the Qingming Festival.This anecdote was not only widely discussed in the Ming and Qing dynasties,but also has concerned many scholars and historians in modern times.Regardless whether they sought to prove that the anecdote was purely fictitious,or whether they insisted on it having a factual basis,past discussions focused on whether Wang Shizhen’s family met with hard times because of Along the River During the Qingming Festival.Seen from another angle,and starting from Yan Song and his contemporary Xu Lun,one will find that not only did the Wang family never experience a tragedy because of Along the River During the Qingming Festival,but also that the whole story amounts to nothing more than a rumour.The idea that"A Fake Painting Brought About Disaster"finds its root in the context of middle and late Ming literature and history.
