Baraka was one of the most important representatives of poetry and drama in the 20th century,and his works The Dutchman was one of the most shocking and influential works of the Black Art Movement at that time.The play tells the story of racial discrimination among Black and White in the United States,as well as in the 1960s Black Americans facing political and psychological conflict.Clay boarded the subway,which was filled with modern myths,and didn’t know he would become a victim of this tragedy.The subway was a microcosm of the American that the passengers in the same carriage chose to turn a blind eye to the fact that Clay,a Black man,was murdered by Lula,a White woman.This was a problem left us by Baraka.
