中国“和合”外交话语中的容器隐喻研究

A Study of the Container Metaphors in Chinese Heheism Diplomatic Discourse

容器隐喻以对空间关系的认知建构群体身份进而反映对社会关系的认知,在外交话语中反映一定的外交价值理念和立场。通过语料分析发现中国“和合”外交话语包含“国家是容器”、“地区/国际组织是容器”、“世界是容器”等层面的语义建构,反映中国外交对于国家主权独立和国情差异、内外关系、共存关系的认知。从空间概念化视角看,容器意象的衔接、扩展和最大化形成延展性的空间表征,体现中国倡导的合作共赢的新型国际关系理念。

Based on spatial relation cognition,container metaphor is a way to construct collective identity which reflects social relation cognition and specifically diplomatic values and stance in diplomatic discourse.This paper investigates how container metaphors in Chinese diplomatic discourse represent China’s heheism value.Results show that Chinese heheism diplomatic discourse features container metaphors subcategorizing as“COUNTRY IS CONTAINER”,“AREA/INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION IS CONTAINER”,“WORLD IS CONTAINER”,etc.,which reveal China’s diplomatic values in terms of independence and individual differences,China’s relation with the world and the co-existential relations of all countries.These container metaphors constitute connective and extensive spatial representation,an all-in-one way of space conceptualization rather than insideoutside dichotomy,reflecting China’s advocation of a new type of international relation featuring win-win cooperation.
