“艺术与设计的未来:人工智能时代艺术学科发展研究生国际论坛”综述

Overview of the Symposium on“The Future of Art and Design:International Conference on the Development of Art Disciplines in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.”

2021年11月7日,“艺术与设计的未来:人工智能时代艺术学科发展研究生国际论坛(2021)”在线上举行。本次会议由武汉理工大学艺术与设计学院、武汉纺织大学艺术与设计学院和湖北美术院学报编辑部联合发起并主办。来自全球十个国家和全国十余所高校的52名青年学者参与此次论坛。与会青年学者们围绕“人工智能时代艺术学科发展”这一主题,就人工智能是否是艺术、人工智能与传统艺术的关系、人工智能在设计与艺术领域的应用、人工智能下的艺术与设计教育及其它议题展开深度的交流和讨论,形成了一系列有新意、有思想、有价值的学术观点和学术成果。此次论坛充分展现了青年学者对艺术与设计未来发展的殷切关注及对艺术基础理论问题的积极探索和思考。

On November 7,2021,the"Future of Art and Design:International Conference on the Development of Art Disci⁃plinesin the Era of Artificial Intelligence(2021)"was successfully held online.The conference was jointly initiated and hosted by the School of Art and Design of Wuhan University of Technology,School of Art and Design of Wuhan Textile University and the Editorial Department of Journal of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts Journal.Fifty-two young scholars from ten countries around the world and more than ten universities across the country participated in this forum.Based on the background of the era of arti⁃ficial intelligence,this forum jointly discussed future-oriented art discipline development topic.The young scholars at the con⁃ference focused on the theme of"Development of Art Discipline in the Era of Artificial Intelligence",and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on whether artificial intelligence is art,the relationship between artificial intelligence and traditional art,the application of artificial intelligence in the field of design and art,art and design education under artificial intelligence,and other issue,resulting in a series of innovative,thoughtful and valuable academic views and achievements.In the issue of"whether artificial intelligence is art",young scholars such as Gao Ting,Meng Ying and Xu Qingchen,from the perspectives of art copying,artificial intelligence painting,artificial intelligence environment and art media,they generally agreed that artificial intelligence art is not art,but artists should use artificial intelligence technology as a way to explore their own art new expres⁃sions of formal language.Some young scholars also pointed out that the combination of the technical advantages of artificial intel⁃ligence,and the artist's perceptual creation would be beneficial in generating new artistic styles.In the issue of"the relationship between artificial intelligence and traditional art",young scholars such as Dhaneshwar Shah,Gao Qiyun and Liu Jing started from the creation practice of calligraphy and painting.They pointed out that artificial intelligence art is not artistic and cannot or would not replace traditional art.It is only a medium and tool for artistic creation,and is the direction of social development.But we should accept it and apply it reasonably to serve the present art and design practice;In the issue of"the application of artifi⁃cial intelligence in the field of design and art",young scholars such asZhang Jiyue,Qiao Jingyi,Min Liyao from the font design,landscape design,museum exhibition design and other professional perspective,pointed out that the application of artificial in⁃telligence in the field of art and design have many positive significance and challenges,and proposed that we should make full use of its powerful knowledge reserve integration function,to create more close to the needs of life art design works;In the issue of"art and design education under artificial intelligence",young scholars such as Tian Mimi,Cui Shijin and Yuan Wenjing be⁃lieved that it was an inevitable trend for artificial intelligence to intervene in art and design education,and the advantages of the integration of artificial intelligence and art education were far greater than the disadvantages,and put forward some construction strategies for its integration.Among other issue,young scholars such as Luo Wen,Lebid Serhii and Liu Xinli shared their latest academic achievements on the themes of image construction,Cyberpunk art,American art and fashion design.The discussion of the five issues is a tour of the development of art discipline in the current era of artificial intelligence.It not only examines the current issues of art disciplines,but also has prospects for the future development of art discipline;there is a positive attitude to the development of traditional art and an inclusive,open and objective academic vision of artificial intelligence art.More impor⁃tantly,with the rapid development of artificial intelligence today,how art and design can better develop and enrich themselves under artificial intelligence technology is a core proposition of this seminar.Questions about it will also directly involve the fu⁃ture direction of art and design.
