Under the background of establishing an intellectual property strong country in China,it is a important issue that how public libraries join the intellectual property public service system by exploring their advantages.This paper analyzes the IP public services of the British Library through the method of desktop investigation.The intellectual property public services of the British Library can be divided into two parts:the public lending rights services and commercial intellectual property center services.The British Library gives full play to its own document advantages and business experience.And through scientific research and technological upgrading,it provides readers and users with highly satisfactory service effects and considerable social benefits,which are worthy of reference for public libraries in China.
