This article introduces the significance of prognostics health management system for railway passenger cars, and introduces the design and implementation of the system in terms of structure and functions. The system divides the monitoring object faults into fast-changing fault diagnosis and slow-changing fault diagnosis. Data-driven analysis of fault evolution is used to provide guidance for operation, maintenance, and system design. The goal of this system is to achieve the full life cycle closed-loop management of rail transit health status. In addition, the application process of the system is introduced with the case of wheel-balance dynamic state assessment.
