In senior middle school English teaching,teachers should help students obtain a pleasant learning experience,effectively invest in knowledge exploration activities,and gradually improve their English core competence.Writing after reading is an effective way to improve the effectiveness of teaching.It can improve the interest of English learning,comprehensively test the learning effect of students,and penetrate the cultivation of English core competence.This paper focuses on the teaching strategy of post reading continuation in senior middle school:preliminarily sort out the article framework and master the main idea of the original text;deeply excavate the characteristics of the original text and prepare for continued writing after reading;cultivate the habit of continuous writing and retain the central idea of the original text;cultivate the awareness of composition optimization and smoothly connect the characteristics of the original text;pay attention to the composition comment link and improve the level of post reading continuation.
