摘要
在保护教育已经成为当代动物园核心使命的今天,我国动物园正逐步将其作为重要职能。近5年对动物园保护教育的研究中,国际上缺少对亚洲区动物园保护教育项目的整体研究,国内多引入西方国家动物园作为先进案例,也缺少对亚洲区的关注。本研究以WAZA亚洲会员中的34家动物园和水族馆的295项线下保护教育活动为研究样本,从保护教育的目标、内容、形式和项目动物4个方面进行分析,并结合疫情,探讨了动物园中部分具有代表性的线上拓展教育资源模式。研究表明,动物园保护教育除了使游客建立与动物的情感联结、认知和了解野生动物及栖息地、关注物种和栖息地所面临的环境问题、引导和激发游客的环境友好行为等常规功能外,还呈现出新的趋势:建立科普与科学研究的联结,为野生动物保护领域培养后续人才;全面阐释保护与发展的关系,引发人们对乡土物种和当地生态环境的关注。
As conservation education has become the core mission of contemporary zoological parks,zoos in China have gradually taken it as their important duty.In the recent five years,there is a lack of international research on the overall Asian zoo conservation education activities,so as the domestic studies,but a condensed focus on the western cases.Thus,this study selects 295 conservation education activities of 34 zoos and aquariums of WAZA Asian members as research samples,analyze their education objectives,contents,methods and project animals,and some representative online educational materials are explored at the Covid-19 background.The result showed that zoo conservation education can inspire future professionals in the field of wildlife protection,establish a connection between popular science and scientific research,explain the relationship between protection and development,and arouse people s attention to native species and the local ecological environment.Therefore,the social significance of conservation education in zoos needs to be re-examined.
