Due to the resources depletion of No.361 uranium deposit, It becomes very urgent to find new reserves in the periphery for the sustainable development of uranium mines in Northern Guangdong. Located to the east of uranium deposit No.361, occurrence No.436 is very similar in the geological conditions to deposit No. 361, and is regarded as the most potential uranium prospecting section in Baishun area. In order to quickly complete the screening of favorable target for uranium exploration, the author adopted the comprehensive geophysical and geochemical prospecting methods of ground gamma ray spectrometric, soil radon gas, and partial element extraction to predict the best favorable location of uranium mineralization and identify the main ore-bearing faults. The survey results showed that uranium anomalies of ground gamma ray spectrometric, soil radon concentration, partial element extraction are well superposed which is concentrated in the clamping area of F4 fault and Darenshan Fault to the north of 436 ore occurrence, indicating that this section is favorable for uranium mineralization. The favorable section was verified by later drilling project and good uranium mineralization was found nearly north to south distributed along the concealed F4 fault, indicating that F4 and other near north to south strike faults are the key uranium prospecting in the area.
