Thematic Creation of Folkcrafts after the 1950s:A Study on the Collection of Guangdong Folk Arts Museum

中华人民共和国成立后,因国家改造民间工艺的政策、美术教育推广影响,以及个体的社会实践经验等因素,民间艺人们摸索创作出一批具有时代特色、主题鲜明的工艺品。这些作品既有艺术价值又富有情感,用工艺的形式记录了一个充满革命浪漫主义的时代。当下部分民间工艺的主题性创作延续了老一辈民间艺人的风格,结合新时期的社会现实,推出了属于这个时代的新工艺品。

After the founding of the PRC,due to factors such as the state’s policy of transforming folk crafts and the promotion of art education in the form of private schooling,folk craftsmen have created handicrafts that are characteristic of specific times and focused themes.These works are both artistically valuable and full of thoughts and emotions.They record an era that is infused with revolutionary romanticism.The thematic creation of some folkcrafts today continues the style of the older generation of folk artists and combines it with contemporary social realities,and thus have created handicrafts that represent the contemporary era.
