A Brief Analysis of Tadao Ando’s Concept of Nature in Architectural Design

安藤忠雄是日本现代最负盛名的建筑大师之一。他不同于科班出身的建筑师,有“没文化的日本鬼才”之称。在他的作品中,我们可以清晰地感受到他忠于自然的建筑理念和质朴的世界观。其对光线的运用、对清水混凝土材料的钟爱、对人与自然关系的思考,独特的时空观,都在他的建筑作品中一一展现。

Tadao Ando is one of the most famous modern Japanese architects. Unlike other architects who trained as architects, he is known as an uneducated Japanese genius. In his works, we can clearly feel his architectural concept of loyalty to nature and simple world view. His use of light, his love of fair-faced concrete materials, his thinking on the relationship between man and nature, as well as his unique concept of time and space, are all displayed in his architectural works.
