Effect of miRNA-21 on the prognostic outcome in gastric cancer patients:a Meta-analysis

目的采用Meta分析探讨miRNA-21表达对胃癌患者预后结局的影响。方法计算机检索PubMed、Embase、Web of Science、The Cochrane Library、中国知识基础设施工程、万方数据库、维普数据库、中国生物医学文献数据库等,纳入符合条件的文献,检索时间均从建库至2021年1月。由2位研究者按纳入与排除标准独立筛选文献、提取资料和评价纳入研究的方法学质量后,应用Revman 5.4.1和Stata 12.0软件进行Meta分析。结果最终纳入15篇文献,共计1006例胃癌患者。Meta分析结果显示,miRNA-21高表达与胃癌患者较低的总生存期有关(HR=2.33,95%CI:[1.79,3.02],P<0.001)。亚组分析结果显示,miRNA-21对于胃癌患者预后具有同样的预测结果。结论胃癌患者miRNA-21的高表达预示其总生存期降低,miRNA-21可能会成为胃癌患者预后结局的潜在生物标志物。

Objective To investigate the effect of miRNA-21 expression on the prognosis outcome of patients with gastric cancer by Meta-analysis.Methods Computer searches for PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,The Cochrane Library,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,VIP Database,China Biomedical Literature Database,etc.,including eligible literature,were made from the establishment of the relevant databases to January 2021.Meta-analysis was performed using Revman 5.4.1 and Stata 12.0 software after 2 investigators independently screened the literature by inclusion and exclusion criteria,and extracted data and evaluated the methodological quality of the included studies.Results A total of 1006 gastric cancer patients were included in 15 articles.Meta-analysis showed that high expression of miRNA-21 was associated with a lower overall survival in patients with gastric cancer(HR=2.33,95%CI:[1.79,3.02],P<0.001).The results of the subgroup analysis further showed that miRNA-21 had the same predictive outcome for the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.Conclusions A high expression of miRNA-21 in patients with gastric cancer indicates a decrease in the overall survival,and miRNA-21 may become a potential biomarker for the prognostic outcome of patients with gastric cancer.
