On the Theoretical Origin and Scientific Connotation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law

党的十八大以来在坚持和发展中国特色社会主义的过程中,不断守正创新形成习近平法治思想。习近平法治思想奠基于中华传统法治思想的精华,承继于马克思主义法治理论系列成果,并根植于中国土壤。习近平法治思想蕴含着丰富科学内涵,主要包括坚持党在建设社会主义法治的根本领导地位;努力做到立法、执法、司法为民;坚持依法治国和以德治国的辩证统一;依法治军、从严治军;严肃政法队伍建设。

Since the 18th National Congress of the Party,Xi Jinping’s thought on rule of law has been formed in the process of adhering to and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics.Xi Jinping’s thought on rule of law is based on the essence of Chinese traditional thought of rule of law,inherits series of achievements on Marxist theory of rule of law,and is rooted in Chinese soil.Xi Jinping’s thought on rule of law contains rich scientifi c connotations,including adhering to the Party’s fundamental leading position in building socialist rule of law,striving to legislate,enforce the law,and administer justice for the people,insisting on the dialectical unity of governing the country according to law and governing the country by virtue,administering the army according to law and strictly administering the army,and strictly building the political and legal contingent.
