中国语境下的“工业遗产”概念内涵刍议——兼议中日对Industrial Heritage的不同译介

A Preliminary Discussion of the Connotations of “Industrial Heritage” in the Chinese Context:On the different translations of “Industrial Heritage” between China and Japan

工业遗产作为近代工业文明的产物,是人类文化遗产的重要组成部分。中国和日本同为亚洲的工业遗产大国,却分别将西方的学术概念Industrial Heritage对译为“工业遗产”和“产业遗产”,但“工业”和“产业”两词的内涵和外延其实是有所不同的。针对这一问题,以中日两国对Industrial Heritage的不同对译来透视两国的工业遗产保护实践,在理论上辨析“工业遗产”与“产业遗产”的实质性差异,相比之下“,产业遗产”的概念更符合国际对Industrial Heritage的理性认知和保护实践,也有助于我们拓展工业遗产保护和发展的新空间,进而深化国内外文化交流与合作,展示中华文明,增强文化自信。

As the product of modern industrial civilization,industrial heritage is one of the important components of human cultural heritage.China and Japan both have great industrial heritage.They,however,translate the western academic concept“industrial heritage”into“工业遗产”and“产业遗产”,two diffe⁃rent terms with different connotations and extensions.In view of this problem,this paper reviews the diffe⁃rent industrial heritage protection practices in the two countries by examining the conceptual differences of the two terms and argues that to go with“产业遗产”is more in line with our future positioning of industrial heritage,which will help expand the space of industrial heritage protection,strengthen the international com⁃munication and cooperation,promote Chinese civilization,and enhance cultural confidence.
