In the context of China’s continuous economic and social development and progress, environmental protection has become a highly important task for the country. Environmental protection inspection is an important management system in the environmental protection work, which plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient development of environmental protection work. The article briefly analyzes the environmental protection inspection and its inspection system, and discusses the necessity and dilemma of carrying out environmental protection inspection at the present stage, and proposes strategies to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection inspection, so as to promote the continuous development of environmental protection in China.
