摘要
面对20世纪新的人类历史境遇--一战及其遗留的战后精神"荒原",传统的叙事、抒情手法已无法满足表现人们内心荒芜感的目的,作家们在不同程度上遭遇表述危机。作为现代诗人的艾略特与蒙塔莱,采取的创作策略在同时代作家中具有典型性。二者分别采取寻找"客观对应物"和象征的艺术手法,赋予城市和自然意象以现代性的空间功能,表征了破碎与充满危机的战后世界。同时,诗人们大胆否定单一、线性时间的进步意义,运用现代性的时间观,将战后的精神重建寓于现代主义的审美表达中,重塑了时间秩序与现实价值,在诗歌领域完成了尝试与革新。
In the face of the new human historical situation in the 20th century--World War I and its postwar spiritual "wasteland",the traditional narrative and lyric techniques fail to achieve the purpose of expressing people’s inner desolation,while writers have encountered expression crisis to varying degrees.As modern poets,T.S.Eliot and Montale choose to adopt typical creative strategies against other contemporary writers.They adopt the artistic techniques of looking for "objective counterparts" and symbols respectively,endowing the urban and natural images with modern spatial functions,and representing the broken and crisis-filled post-war world.Meanwhile,the poets have boldly denied the progressive significance of the single and linear interpretation of time,using the modern concept of time,incorporating the post-war spiritual reconstruction in the aesthetic expression of modernism,reshaping the time order and practical value,and completing the attempts and innovations in the field of poetry.
