西南边疆史研究的认识维度与阐释路径

The Cognitive Dimension and Interpretation Path of the Research on the History of Southwest Frontier Region

西南边疆历史发展进程中的区域差异性、多元复合性特征,决定了西南边疆史研究应具有“多线历史”的视角。“多线历史”的研究指向,并非仅仅停留在对西南边疆治理与区域社会变迁历史过程的线性描述上,而是需要在更大的视域下呈现时空交错的“历史感”,并在不同的时空面向下,讨论西南疆域内部以及西南边疆与内地之间所建立起的结构性互动。这一阐释路径有助于从整体上探讨学术界长期关注的西南边疆多样性与统一性之间的关系问题,反思传统开发治理史研究中“单线叙事”的思维定式及其局限性,从而为西南疆域史研究提供一种新的思考维度、丰富西南边疆史的研究内涵,凸显出西南边疆多元结构的本质属性与发展逻辑,特别是西南边疆社会逐步成为中华民族共同体组成部分的复杂历史动因。

The research on the history of the southwest frontier region should be with the perspective of “multi-line history” due to the characteristics of regional differences and multiple complexity in the historical process of the southwest frontier.The orientation of research on “multi-line history”,more than a linear description of the historical process of southwestern frontier governance and regional social changes,needs to present a “sense of history” interlaced in time and space from a larger perspective,in different contexts of time and space,discussing the structural interactions established within the southwest frontier area and those between the southwest frontier and the mainland area.This interpretation path is constructive to the exploration of the relation between the diversity and unity of the Southwest frontier as a whole which has long been concerned by the academic circle,reflecting on the “single-line narrative” mindset and its limitations in traditional research on the history of development and governance,so as to provide a new perspective for the research on the history of the southwest frontier area,extend its research connotation and highlight the essential attributes and development logic of the diverse structure of the southwest frontier area,especially the complex historical motives that the southwest frontier society has gradually become an integral part of the Chinese nation.
