For the situation in article 58 of Treatise on Cold Pathogenic Diseases,Most of the later medical scholars believed that this was a case of“sweating, vomiting, and purgative”which led to the loss of blood and fluid, and that the interpretation of“yin and yang are in harmony”varied. It has been proven that the word“if”is used in the sense of“or”,and that“sweating, vomiting, and purgative”are juxtaposed with“loss of blood”.The word“yin and yang”refers to the pulse, and the article refers to the state of loss of fluid after sweating, vomiting, diarrhoea,or loss of blood, which can be cured by a harmonious pulse.
