The Frontier as a Method:A Concept of Civilization Presented by Forty Degrees North

《北纬四十度》有意识地与“新清史”对话,在长时段视阈中呈现出特定区域的稳定性和整体性,以此确立中国文化的复合结构;同时,也对传统史学进行反思,建构了互为主体性的认知逻辑,指出游牧文明与定居文明的共存模式。在全球化背景下,作家重新聚焦边疆,一方面探索被误解的文学历史,自觉启用本土化的学术路径形成新文体意识;另一方面直面文化复兴的时代难题,从而为“世界之中国”提供依据。

Forty Degrees North consciously dialogues with the“New Qing History”and presents the stability and wholeness of a specific region in a long time perspective,thus establishing the composite structure of Chinese culture.At the same time,the work also reflects on the traditional historiography,constructs a cognitive logic of mutual subjectivity,and points out the coexistence mode of nomadic and sedentary civilizations.In the context of globalization,the writer refocuses on the frontier,exploring the misunderstood literary history and consciously using localized academic paths to form a new literary consciousness on the one hand,and facing the contemporary problem of cultural revival,thus providing a basis for the“China of the world”on the other.
