From the perspective of semiotics,the introduction of folk symbols into dance creation has been a research direction ignored by the dance and semiotics circles.By expounding the significance of folk symbols in the original context,this paper attempts to explore the specific methods of how to extract and apply them in dance creation,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the embodiment of nationality in the process of national dance creation.
