Four Notes on the Chu Bamboo Slips

天星观楚简中所载卜筮工具“■”应释作“■蓍”,读为“黯蓍”,指一种黑色的蓍草。望山1号楚墓19号简中“■”可读为“广荝”,指一种较宽的蓍草。包山231号简■字可释为“■”,读为“■”;256号简记载的“■”应即马王堆汉墓遣策简中的“■”,疑指干鱼肉一类的食物。

“■”is a kind of divination tool in Tianxingguan bamboo slip,it can be interpreted as“■”,and read as An shi(黯蓍),it is a kind of black yarrow;“■”is a kind of divination tool in No.19 of Wangshan M1 tomb,it can be read as Guang ce(广荝),it is a kind of wide yarrow.■in No.231 of Baoshan bamboo slip,can be interpreted as“■”,and read as“■”.Baoshan bamboo slip No.256 recorded a food called Wan guan(■),it was recorded as Wan guan(■)in Mawangdui Han tomb,it may be a kind of dry meat.
