中学英语教师教学生活的批判性叙事探究

摘要 本研究采用批判性叙事探究的方法,通过“教学日记”深入观察一位中学英语教师忙乱的教学生活,分析其原因并探讨教师如何逾越忙乱,走向有序进而赋权专业自主发展。研究对45篇教学日记以及访谈与网络交流等数据的叙事分析发现:基层教师每天的生活就像在打仗,大量时间被非教学事务侵占;导致忙乱的原因包括学校教育中的形式主义、各种会务活动、应试教育与拔尖教学、家庭和社会支持不足等;教师发展亟须解决的首要问题是为教师减负,让其从日常杂务中解脱出来,将更多的时间与心力投入课堂和钻研教学。研究发现为当前“双减”背景下改进学校教育与促进教师发展提供了有益启示。 Adopting the method of critical narrative inquiry,this study examined the busy teaching life of a middle school English teacher and the related reasons via her teaching diary,and discussed how a teacher can transcend the hustle and bustle for order,so as to empower independent professional development.Through the narrative analysis of 45 teaching diaries,interviews and network communication data,this study found that the daily life of a grass-roots teacher is like a war,and a lot of time is occupied by non-teaching affairs.Its causes include formalism in school education,various conference activities,exam-oriented education and top-notch teaching,insufficient family and social support,and so on.The primary problem to be solved urgently for teacher development is to reduce teachers’burden,free them from daily chores,and devote more time and effort to classroom teaching research.The above findings have insightful implications for improving school education and promoting teacher development in current context of“double reduction”.
