Reading literacy is understanding,using,evaluating,reflecting on and engaging with texts in order to achieve one’s goals,to develop one’s knowledge and potential and to participate in society.To help senior high English teachers promote students’reading literacy,Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press published English Reading Classroom Teaching:Reading Literacy and Comprehensive Vision written by Ge Bingfang et al.This article begins with briefly summarizing the key concepts and content of each chapter and proceeds to illustrate the merits of the book from three aspects.Reading suggestions are provided to help readers better understand the theoretical and pedagogical significance of the book.
