Sketching has been widely valued and applied in the field of ceramic painting.Adhering to sketching for a long time is conducive to promoting the inheritance and innovation of ceramic flower and bird painting and keeping pace with the aesthetics of contemporary ceramic flower and bird decoration.By discussing the importance of sketching in ceramic flower and bird decoration,this paper explores how to give full play to the application value of sketching in ceramic decoration,combined with the continuous practice of ceramic painting technology,and how to optimize the composition,expression form and artistic conception of the picture,so as to transform the sketching materials into ceramic painting and arouse the sketching creation consciousness of the majority of ceramic painters.
