It is very important to form a highly recognized and consensus evaluation system and methodology in the scene theory and creatively transform it into Chinese concept system and expression. Shandong Grand Canal is the Shandong section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Its historical and cultural resources are of great practical significance to enhance the cultural confidence of the Chinese nation. The development of cultural space needs to associate the concept of scene with local development and examine it in the cultural scene composed of public space, cultural activities and citizens’ consumption experience. Through the selection of cultural symbols and the reconstruction of urban cultural memory, we should explore the Shandong experience of cultural space and scene construction, and multi-dimensional reflect on the practical difficulties existing in the scene construction of the Grand Canal cultural belt, so as to explain the practical value of exploring the cultural resources of the Grand Canal in Shandong.
