Professor Lyu believes that this disease is caused bylatent epidemic toxin and the basic pathogenesis is liver spleen and kidney disorders, accumulation of dampness and heat, andimpairing of liver and collaterals by toxin.Therefore, the principle of clearing heat, drainingdampness, eliminating pathogen, andremoving toxin should be employed in the treatment, during whichreinforcing healthy qi is the key.Additionally, the theory oftreating disease before its onset should be adopted.Specifically, the disease course should be cut off, and attention should be paid to the overall nursing, especially the regulation of mind.Combining disease differentiation with syndrome differentiationcan achieve good efficacy in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B,as demonstrated by a typical case.
