新文科背景下医科院校大学英语改革研究 被引量:2

Research on College English Teaching Reform in a Medical University under the Background of New Liberal Arts

摘要 新文科背景下的大学英语教育要顺应时代需要,遵循以人为本的原则,强化医科与人文学科的交叉融合,提升大学英语教学质量,培养拔尖创新人才。本研究基于南方医科大学大学英语教学改革实践,以“最近发展区”混合式学习理论和POA理论为基础,尝试构建以“教学目标层次化”“教学内容职业化”“线上线下相融合”“教学活动产出导向化”为一体的大学英语教学体系,探讨了新文科背景下的医科院校大学英语课程建设的实施路径与成效。研究结果表明,重构的教学体系调动了学生的主观能动性,兼顾了专业差异与学生个体差异,基本满足“医类”和“近医类”学生的不同专业发展需求,实践了以人为本的高等教育理念;教学体系总体上得到了学生的认可,不同教学内容适合学生的实际英语水平,学生普遍接受线上线下混合式教学模式和POA教学活动理念,学生的课堂参与感与收获感得到提高。本研究对同类医科院校的大学英语教学改革与实践具有启示意义。 Under the background of the new liberal arts, college English teaching should conform to the times, follow the people-oriented principle and strengthen the integration of the medical science and the humanities, in order to improve the quality of teaching and to nurture top-notch innovative talents. The study discusses the path and effect of implementing the construction and reform of college English. Based on Vygotsky’s theory of the Zone of Proximal Development, theories of Production-oriented Approach and Blended Learning, the study draws on the experience of teaching reform on college English in Southern Medical University, and aims to construct the college English teaching system which corporates together the hierarchy of teaching objectives, the alignment of teaching content with career standards, the integration of online and offline, and production-oriented teaching activities. The survey results indicate that the new teaching system, taking into full consideration the professional differences and individual differences and mobilizing students’ subjective initiatives, meets the needs of “medical” and “non-medical” students and practices the people-oriented concept of higher education. The results also show that the online and offline blended learning mode and POA are widely accepted by students and class participation and feelings of gain are improved. The study has implication for college English teaching reform and practice in the similar universities.
