The Impact of Inbound and Outbound Open Innovation on Long-term Competitive Advantage in Dynamic Environment:Mediating Role of Short-term Financial Performance

基于已有研究文献,以环境动态性为调节变量,探讨内向和外向型开放式创新对企业短期财务绩效和长期竞争优势的影响,并对302家高新技术企业进行实证研究.结果表明:内向和外向型开放式创新对企业短期财务绩效和长期竞争优势均存在正向影响,且短期财务绩效部分中介了内向和外向型开放式创新对长期竞争优势的影响.内向型开放式创新对企业长期竞争优势的促进作用大于外向型开放式创新,而对企业短期财务绩效的促进作用则小于外向型开放式创新.环境动态性在内向和外向型开放式创新与长期竞争优势之间起到正向调节作用.

Based on existing research literature and using environmental dynamics as a moderating variable,this paper explores the impact of inbound and outbound open innovation on short-term financial performance and longterm competitive advantage of firms.Based on the empirical study of 302 high-tech enterprises,the results show that inbound and outbound open innovation has a positive impact on both short-term financial performance and long-term competitive advantage,and the short-term financial performance partially mediates the impact of inbound and outbound open innovation on long-term competitive advantage.Inbound open innovation plays a greater role in promoting the long-term competitive advantage of enterprises than that of outbound open innovation,while its role in promoting the short-term financial performance of enterprises is less than that of outbound open innovation.Environmental dynamism has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between inbound and outbound open innovation and long-term competitive advantage.
