摘要
刘文西是新中国美术史上极具地域风格和个性特色的艺术家。他以毛泽东《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》与习近平《在文艺工作座谈会上的讲话》为思想基点,以黄土地浓厚的乡土情结描绘中华儿女心中的精神家园,不断深入生活,始终扎根人民,以不懈的坚持铸就了“艺为人民”的创作高峰,带领“黄土画派”以一股雄浑博大的气象行走在当代中国美术的舞台,并产生了重大影响。2021年10月起在中国国家博物馆举办的“艺术为人民—刘文西艺术大展”,全面呈现了他的艺术贡献和成就。
Liu Wenxi was a great artist with distinct regional style and personal characteristics in modern Chinese art history.Taking Mao Zedong’s and Xi Jinping’s celebrated speeches on art and literature as his ideological base,he depicted the spiritual home of Chinese people with a strong local complex.Constantly going into the thick of life and taking root among the masses,he built the peak of “art for the people” with unremitting persistence.Under his leadership,Loess Painting School stepped onto the stage of contemporary Chinese art with imposing spirit and has made a significant impact.“Art for the People:Liu Wenxi’s Art Exhibition”(National Museum of China,October 2021-January 2022) presented a comprehensive overview of his artistic contributions and achievements.
