论古籍钤印释读的十类方法

On the Ten Methods of Interpreting Ancient Books’Seals

目前古籍钤印资源的开发是古籍整理学科的冷门,主要原因是钤印释读存在较大困难。本文将古籍钤印的释读方法总结为十类:按部索字法、字形复原法、图符字化法、署名对释法、词句推定法、因零查整法、文献印证法、印印联释法、色位分组法、抓大放小法等,涉及文字辨识、印文解读、印主考证、次序判定等环节,以期为古籍整理人员进行钤印释读提供参考。

At present,the development of ancient book seal resources is an unpopular subject in the discipline of ancient book collation.The main reason is that there are great difficulties in the interpretation of seals.In this paper,the interpretation methods of ancient seals are summarized into ten categories:search by radical,glyph restoration,image and symbol literalization,signature comparison,presumption of words and sentences,infer the whole from the part,document confirmation,interpretation of seal association,group by color and location,grasp the main point.It involves the identification of characters,interpretation of printed texts,examination of the masters of seals and judgment of order.It can be used as a reference for the ancient book collation personnel to interpret seals.
