文化自信视角下《三字经》翻译策略研究——以赵彦春译本为例

文化自信在衡量一个国家综合实力上起着至关重要的作用。没有高度的文化自信,没有文化的繁荣昌盛,就没有中华民族的伟大复兴。提升文化软实力落脚点在文化的一大载体——文化典籍。诸如《三字经》一类的优秀文化典籍将会让世界更加了解中国及其源远流长的中华文化。因此,文化典籍的翻译在文化走出去的过程中起着非常重要的作用。在文化自信视角下,对赵彦春在英译《三字经》时所采用的翻译策略进行研究,旨在为中国文化典籍的英译提供新视角、新方法和新启示,从而助力中华文化的传播翻开新的篇章。

Cultural confidence is of great importance in measuring a country’s composite strengths.The Chinese nation will not be able to rejuvenate itself without strong cultural confidence and a rich and prosperous culture.To improve the Cultural Soft Power,it is important to make full use of such a great carrier of culture as cultural classics.Excellent cultural classics such as Three Character Classics will enable the world to understand China and its time-honored culture.Therefore, translation of cultural classics plays a vital role in the process of culture going out to the world. The paper makes an analysis of the translation strategies of Three Character Classics adopted by Professor.Zhao Yanchun from the perspective of the cultural confidence and hopes to provide a new angle,a new method and some implications for the future English translation practice of Chinese cultural classics so as to make the international spread of Chinese culture turn on a new leaf.
