Mr.Tang Guizhang,a Ci scholar,has made outstanding achievements in Ci theory and creation,which have not been paid enough attention.He put forward the Ci theory of“freshness,tenderness,profoundess and brightness”,which is not only an emphasis on the standardization of Ci,but also an accurate understanding of the artistic characteristics of Ci,of which his“Mengtong Ci”is a perfect example.His Ci are fresh,graceful,sincere and elegant,and“Mengtong Ci”is sincere and simple,which is not only the successful application of the theory,but also his true expression as a benevolent and wise man.
