摘要
《寄宿公寓》是詹姆斯·乔伊斯短篇小说集《都柏林人》中的一篇。从生态语言学角度看,《寄宿公寓》展示了一个社会生态系统、宗教生态系统、婚姻生态系统和精神生态系统都处于失衡状态的社会。乔伊斯试图以此唤醒和鞭策同胞认清真相,重建一个生态平衡的爱尔兰,并启发后人创造一个和谐的生态环境。
The Boarding House is one part of the Short Story Collection Dubliners by James Joyce. From the perspective of Ecolinguistics, The Boarding House shows a society in which the social ecosystem, the religious ecosystem, the marriage ecosystem and the spiritual ecosystem are all out of balance. In doing so, Joice sought to awaken and spur his fellow citizens to the truth, to rebuild a balance of Nature in Ireland, and to inspire future generations to create a harmonious ecological environment.
